Could RLI Personal Umbrella Policy Save Your Clients Money?

For clients needing $10 million of personal umbrella coverage, agents often find the total coverage premium for a $5 million RLI umbrella combined with another company’s $5 million umbrella is less expensive than buying a $10 million umbrella. Also, agents might have a client with a carrier that only writes up to $2 million in umbrella coverage, but the client recognizes the need for $5 million of coverage. Consider writing an RLI $3 million PUP in this scenario. Remember, RLI is true umbrella coverage with no requirements on underlying carriers. To start quoting the RLI Personal Umbrella today, visit www.independentagent.com/RLI to locate your state administrator.

Young Agents
Young Agents Spotlight – North Carolina

Congratulations to the Young Agents Committee of the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina for completing their Habitat for Humanity project! After raising $70,000 in less than a year and completing construction in five months, the volunteers handed the keys over to the new homeowners on Aug. 23. An ice cream truck was part of the celebration and allowed the family to meet many of their new neighbors. Associate member Tammy Little from CRC Services in High Point, N.C. also donated and decorated the living room and dining room furniture. Great work, North Carolina Young Agents!

Has your Young Agents Committee completed a project or held an event? If so, the National Young Agents Committee wants to hear about it! Please submit Young Agents success stories for the Young Agents Spotlight series to Katie Cosgrove, manager of the Big “I” National Young Agents program, at 800-221-7917;
