Trusted Choice®
Make an Impression with Consumers
Trusted Choice®: You Need an Independent AgentSM

A brand is more than a logo or advertising campaign, it’s an experience that leaves a lasting impression on a consumer. A logo often acts a repeat reminder of that experience, so consistency is key. For independent insurance agents, that reminder is the Trusted Choice® logo. More than 10,000 agencies and 53 carriers are invested in the brand that educates consumers on the benefits of using an independent insurance agent. The logo, along with the tag line, You Need an Independent Insurance AgentSM is a strong message that consumers understand and trust. When including the logo on your Web site, brochures or more, nationally, we’ve been using the version with the tagline and we recommend you do as well. Trusted Choice® agents can download the logo today. If you are not a Trusted Choice® agent, find out how you can join now at www.TrustedChoice.com. If you are a Trusted Choice® agency looking to update your marketing materials, learn more about the Trusted Choice® Marketing Reimbursement Program that pays you back at www.TrustedChoice.com/MRP.

InVEST Participates in Financial Literacy Day on Capitol Hill
More than 60 organizations join to raise public awareness on financial literacy.

Earlier this week, InVEST, along with more than 60 other organizations committed to increasing financial literacy awareness, joined together for what has now been coined Financial Literacy Day on Capitol Hill.

“InVEST believes in partnering with organizations who understand the importance of financial literacy of students, particularly insurance literacy,” says Jennifer Robinson, InVEST program manager. “We were delighted to attend such an important event to create public awareness and understanding for the need of financial literacy.”

U.S. Senator Daniel K. Akaka (D-Hawaii) served as honorary host of the event. During his remarks, Akaka noted he “felt America was illiterate in financial literacy” and “look(s) forward to working together to bring America to a point where they can make good financial decisions.”

Financial Literacy Day on Capitol Hill was introduced in 2003 by the Council for Economic Education, Junior Achievement and the Jump$tart Coalition, with the office of U.S. Senator Daniel K. Akaka serving as honorary host.

Over the years, “Hill Day” as it’s come to be known, has evolved from a small gathering to a public event that attracts hundreds of participants. The location of the event alternates each year, between an office location on the House of Representatives side and the Senate side of “the Hill.”

Hill Day events now attract hundreds of supporters of financial education, members of Congress and their staffs and the general public. Jump$tart Executive Director Laura Levine has served as the event emcee each year since 2004. She said that Hill Day depicts the best of what Jump$tart is as a coalition—a demonstration of the collective strength of combined efforts, as well as the unique, individual contribution that each organization makes.

New FedEx Door Tag System Provides Flexibility
Act now to take advantage of this valuable benefit.

Whether you’re expecting a FedEx® shipment or have one scheduled for pickup, the newFedEx door tag system gives you information that enables you to keep an eye on your business instead of on the door.

You can't always be there to receive your FedEx shipments or give them to the driver. So FedEx has revised its door tag system to notify users when Fedex has visited. The new FedEx door tag system clearly communicates information regarding FedEx Express® and FedEx Ground® shipments received or scheduled for pickup to let you know:

  •  If a shipment was successfully delivered or picked up.
  • Where Fedex placed the delivery to minimize theft or damage.
  • What options you have if you missed delivery or pickup.

Big “I” members receive exclusive discounts on shipping with FedEx, up to 26% on select shipping services. Visit 1800members.com/iiaba to enroll and start saving today.
